Robot Welder at BAE Systems Hägglunds

Are you an experienced welder looking to take the next step in your welding career? We are seeking robot welders for our new facilities; no prior experience with robots is required as we offer training in control systems and programming as needed.

BAE Systems Hägglunds has an exciting time ahead with workload secured for a long time and now needs to strengthen its welding team of over 80 employees with even more independent and driven individuals for the role of robot welder.

Your Future Challenge

As a robot welder, you will work from blueprints with robot welding of components and hulls for our products CV90 and BVS10. The work involves programming, setting up, loading, and operating the robot. The job also includes inspecting components and manual finishing with MIG/MAG/TIG as needed. You will also operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

In addition to the best tools and equipment you can have as a welder, we are a group that cares for and supports each other. We are a workplace with high job satisfaction and a strong focus on corporate culture. Here you will have the chance to grow with us and contribute to securing the future. In addition to obvious employee benefits such as reduced working hours and wellness grants, we also offer flexible hours to help with work-life balance. We also provide relocation assistance if you move to Örnsköldsvik from another location.

The position is a permanent full-time employment; we currently work daytime but will soon start with shift work.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a high school education who is a trained welder or has equivalent practical experience. You have good skills in MIG/MAG/TIG welding, are used to working from blueprints, and it’s beneficial if you enjoy programming and have computer skills, as well as good material knowledge, especially in steel, but also stainless steel and aluminum.

Experience working with ABB or IGM robots is advantageous. If you do not already have a welding license, forklift, and/or overhead crane certification, you will obtain it with us!

Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are a requirement for the role, and you need to have basic IT skills.

As a person, you have your own drive and a focus on quality, and you enjoy delivering well-executed work. You should be able to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, but also work well in a team with others. Orderliness and high risk awareness are also qualities we value.

What You Will Be Part Of

With us, you will have fun at work! You will get to work with future technology in a global company where you have great opportunities for development. You will be part of a team of competent and supportive colleagues who channel high-quality welding work further in our production flow.
